Also, it should be noted, many students of prophecy believe the Gog-Magog war, Ezekiel chapters 38/39, against Israel, will be led by the Antichrist and is part of, or will finally result in, the Battle of Armageddon. What is interesting about our study is the fact that many believe the names contained in the prophecy relate to Russia: Many students believe the name Gog, the prince of Magog, is another name for the Antichrist. Meshech, they say, is Moscow, while Tubal is Tubolsk.

When one opens a Bible Atlas we find these very names on the ancient maps. But what is absolutely stunning to discover is the fact that they are not in Russia: they are in Turkey!

Other prominent experts on Bible prophecy, such as Chuck Missler, believe Russia is Magog and give historical evidence from such ancients as Hesiod, ''the father of Greek didactic poetry,'' and Herodotus of Halicarnassus, known as the ''Father of History.'' They identified Magog with the Scythians and southern Russia as early as the 7th century B.C. So indeed, Russia may yet play a part in the final acts before the Messiah returns. She may well lead the disastrous attack on Israel with her allies which, according to the Ezekiel 38/39 prophecy, includes Turkey, modern day Iran and some North African nations, all of which find their end on the mountains of Israel as God decisively steps in and destroys the invading armies. Some suggest God will use the nuclear capability of Israel as she uses what is known as the “Samson Option”.

It is clear from the above texts the coming deceiver will be Jewish and one who has no regard for the God of Israel. But rather, the scripture says he will honour the god of forces. This is interesting because we are told he doesn’t regard any god but he does honour the god of forces.
A contradiction? No, in fact a possible revelation!!

The Hebrew word translated “forces” is “Mauzzim” Some commentators suggest this is related to a god of military might. But I was stunned when I did a study on this Hebrew word because as I did I discovered the Turkish word for the one who calls people to pray to Allah is called a “Muezzin.”
Do you see how close the Hebrew “Mauzzim” for “forces” is to the Turkish “Muezzin” the one who calls people to pray to Allah? Could it be the Jewish Antichrist from the Assyrian / Seleucid area will “not regard the God of his (Jewish) fathers” but instead “honour the god of (the) Muezzin” the one who calls people to pray to Allah, the god of Islam?
